Since 2005

IEEE is the world's largest technical professional organization, working to advance global prosperity by fostering technological innovation, supporting members' careers, and building community through the latest information and ideas in engineering.

The IEEE Student Branch at AWH Engineering College was inaugurated on 17th June 2005 by Dr. K P Mohandas, Professor at NIT Calicut, alongside Dr. Premkumar, Chairman of the IEEE Kerala Student Activity Board, and Prof. Sreeram Kumar of NITC's Electrical Engineering department — with around 60 members from colleges across the section attending the launch. Since then, the branch has grown into an active chapter under IEEE Malabar Section, running technical workshops, industry seminars, and outreach events for students at AWH.
